If we fail to do so drug peddlers manage to flee. But we have to give requisition for police assistance at least one day before any drive” he added. The DNC made draft principles of collection and use of arms for DNC officials. Daily sun obtained a copy of the draft of “Collection and Use of Arms 2013. According to the draft, DNC has 1,283 officials and employees. Of them, 826 are working at field level and they need at least 625 arms to carry out drive against drug peddlers. Md Bazlur Rahman, Director General (DG) of DNC, said a five-member committee is now scrutinising the draft arms principles and they will soon finalise the draft and submit it to the ministry concerned.
